Bo Moreno,
Board Member
Bo Moreno was initiated into IBEW Local Union 124 in May of 1994. He is a second-generation wireman who is the son of John B Moreno, the first Mexican American ever taken in the Local. After attending CMSU and taking business courses, he started his apprenticeship in 1994. Upon graduation, Bo traveled across the United States working in various other IBEW Locals from California to New York City. He went on to serve as foreman and job steward on multiple projects in the Kansas City area and was appointed Business/Referral Agent of IBEW Local 124 in 2011, which he served for 6 years. At that time, he used his prior experience he had traveling and started a website that catered to all other traveling members of the IBEW seeking work in other Locals across the United States.

To this day, he updates "where2bro.com" on a weekly basis. Bo was appointed Business Manager of IBEW Local 124 in July of 2021. Since that time, he sits on the board of the Hawthorn Foundation, Climate Action Steering Committee, Board of Trustee of the Kansas City AFL/CIO, Vice President of Kansas City AFL/CIO, member of the Missouri AFL/CIO Building Trades/Industrial/Utility Committee and Board member of the Black/Brown Coalition.

"I believe in America and the progress that can be made through participation in the process. My father was the first Hispanic to be a member of this union now I am the Business Manager of it."
