Over the past decade, there has been a concerted effort to diminish the power of the African American and Hispanic vote. Those efforts have placed obstacles to the actual vote such as ID requirements, certified mail in ballots, reduction in polling locations, and the divided principally Black and Hispanic districts. However, we still believe in the power of the vote.
